Movie: Trainspotting

Directed by Danny Boyle. The movie was began with the following quote:

" Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players, and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol and dental insurance. Choose fixed- interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisure wear and matching luggage. Choose a three piece suite on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing sprit- crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing you last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked-up brats you have spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life... But why would I want to do a thing like that?''

Renton:'' I chose not to choose life. I chose something else. And the reason? There are no reason.Who need reasons when you have got heroin.
''

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, This film is kinda gritty and dirty. It shows the massive downside where people life are destroyed and live goes days by days just trying to get high. Some of the scenes are unpleasant, pathetic yet funny and stylish.

Importantly, it is more than just about drug addiction.
The character Renton, who waste most of his life taking drugs with his friends in a tiny apartment until he decided not to escape the reality and chose to build up new life. Unlikable character but well played.

Electrically vibrant, chaotic, hysterical, funny, artistic.
This is really a perfect comedy. Must watch for movie lover. <3>

Movie: Taipei Exchange

If there is a cafe where you can exchange something with something you have, what would you like to bring to this exchange?

Opening a cafe has always been Doris's dream. She runs the cafe with her sister who came out the idea of letting customer to exchange things at their cafe. But through series of exchanging, they both found that what they're truly exchanging are stories that once belonged to the others and now become part of their stories.

It has been a bad day but after watching this movie, it just heal me a lots.

The main male character is a pilot who comes to the cafe with 35 soaps which has its own stories. The focus of this movie is the cafe and the sisters. People usually bring something they don't want to exchange something they want. It's interesting to see that something can be so useless in one's eyes and so precious in others.

This is just life. Some people are losing and some people are having too much.
They're yet to find one another.
